Long, dense paragraphs are harder for extraction algorithms to segment into a clean, quotable unit. Short paragraphs map more cleanly onto individual "chunks" an engine can cite.
Keep paragraphs under roughly 500 characters (3-4 sentences). Break up long paragraphs at natural idea boundaries.
